Community:

teaching young BME yoga students to become teachers on The Yoga For Life Project’s therapeutic teacher training programme so they can take yoga back into the communities that need it most

teaching therapeutic yoga to Bangladeshi Women who are at risk of social isolation

providing yoga classes to students in school most at risk of exclusion

Covid 19:

creating support programme for long haul Covid 19 patients providing classes to help with the chronic symptoms of breathing, fatigue, poor mental health & isolation

providing therapeutic yoga to those most isolated including people with cancer and the elderly
NHS:

providing therapeutic yoga to patients with metastatic breast cancer at Barts Trust

providing therapeutic yoga to BME NHS staff

providing therapeutic yoga to NHS staff in obstetrics where there are high levels of PTSD

providing therapeutic yoga to bipolar patients

providing therapeutic yoga to patients with endometriosis

providing therapeutic yoga to patients with back conditions

to create a training programme to train NHS staff in therapeutic yoga so they can support their patients with these additional skills
Research:

collating an accessible online library of scientific research from around the world into the health benefits of yoga for different health conditions

working with health professionals conducting some further randomized control trials into the benefits of yoga for certain health conditions

Laughter Yoga with North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT):

Across a year we provided laughter yoga and gentle desk mobility yoga to NHS staff to help support their mental & physical wellbeing

Therapeutic Yoga for Secondary Cancer Patients Barts Hospital, in collaboration with The Rahere Trust:

Across 10 classes, we provided therapeutic yoga to secondary breast cancer patients at Barts Hospital
​
We are currently developing therapeutic yoga classes to work with Somalian Women who have sited Yoga as an area of therapeutic movement they would like to benefit from.

We are currently seeking funding to run Therapeutic Yoga for People with Amputations – please contact us if you would like to be part of these exciting new classes/have access to funding.

Yoga in Palliative Care:

Having worked in Palliative care with yoga, Claire is keen to extend this service to work with families and individuals at the end of life, offering gentle breath work, meditation, visualizations, and where appropriate, gentle movement to help bring about an attitude of acceptance and deep feelings of contentment and peace.
