ANDREW MALLETT

PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Andrew is a group analyst and psychotherapist.  He has been running therapy groups within the NHS for the last eight years and also works in a university and in private practice.  Prior to training as a psychotherapist he worked in theatre for ten years before setting up his own business providing training and coaching in business and community settings.

Anna’s background as an artist informs her yoga teaching and you can expect creative and attuned sequences.  Anna’s practice is all about encouraging students to bring and work with all parts of themselves, the parts that feel easier and more spacious as well as those that perhaps feel more uncomfortable and stuck.  Anna uses the platform of yoga to help people, herself included, reconnect back to their bodies, to the ability to play, express and so heal. Andrew is working in collaboration with some of our yoga teachers.

EMMA PATERSON

 PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Emmas is a BACP registered integrative psychotherapist and mother of two with some personal experience of the frustrations of living with long Covid. She's been working as a psychotherapist in Higher Education and the NHS for the past 15 years and loves helping people find creative ways to improve their lives. She's led numerous Mindfulness and psycho-educational workshops, and her approach in facilitating group work is positive and solution focused. She spent her youth working as a broadcast journalist in London and took a mid-life career swerve when she relocated to the North. These days she enjoys the calm of the countryside, dog walks along the Northumberland coast and a new found passion for painting. She looks forward to meeting you all! Emma is working in collaboration with some of our yoga teachers.

JANA S.

AYURVEDIC PRACTITIONER

Yoga and Ayurveda are sister sciences that share their roots in 5,000-year-old scriptures called the Vedas. A key difference between Western medicine and Ayurveda is that treatment is specific to the individual rather than to the named illness. Treatment therefore starts by identifying the unique constitution (Vata/Pitta/Kapha) of the individual and their imbalance.

While Yoga is now widely practiced, Ayurveda has only a relatively small presence in the UK.
